Ulton raised $7150 for the AEIOU Foundation at the firm's 12th annual race d ay at the Bundaberg Race Club on 2 September.
Over 350 Ulton clients, associates and staff from across the Wide Bay and Capricornia regions contributed through a raffle, auction and ‘punters’ podium’.
AEIOU Foundation provides life-changing early intervention for children with autism. Their evidence based therapy and education program is family focused and provides every child with the best opportunity to gain vital independence and achieve their full potential.
Ulton Event Coordinator, Amber Mizzi was overwhelmed by the support shown for AEIOU.
"My son Sam is a student at the Bundaberg AEIOU centre. I was so touched to see our guests’ generosity at the Ulton Race Day. Whether it was purchasing a raffle ticket, placing a bid on the auction or contributing their punters podium winnings to the AEIOU Foundation; the support was amazing”
The funds raised will stay with the Bundaberg AEIOU centre and contribute to upgrading the school’s facilities.
"These much needed funds will contribute to re-vamping the school with an updated playground, a new shed and astro-turf so the children won’t have to play in the dirt anymore” Ms Mizzi said.
The auction item at the Ulton Race Day was a 2017 signed and framed Brisbane Broncos Jersey. The jersey’s highest bid was a whopping $2800 by local business owner, Dale Rathamel of Takalvans Bundaberg.
The Brisbane Broncos are a proud sponsor of AEIOU and kindly donated the jersey to be auctioned.
