Explore different pathways in one placement

Ulton internships are short-term, full-time paid placements that give students the opportunity to experience the real work that goes on across the firm. Typically running for one to two weeks between September and February, placements are scheduled around school and university holiday periods.

During your time with us, you won’t be limited to a single team. Through hands-on experience, you’ll get a feel for how each part of the business works, what the day-to-day really looks like, and where your interests could take you next.

As an Ulton intern, you will:

Group 40406
Get involved in real client work

You’ll gain hands-on experience from day one. You’ll work on real clients, sit in on meetings, and participate in workshops.

Group 40622
Benefit from one-to-one support
You’ll spend time with different people across the firm, with plenty of 1:1 opportunities to ask questions and learn from their experience.
Group 40624
Learn through Masterclasses
You’ll take part in small group sessions with experienced professionals to help you sharpen your thinking and build your professional skills.

What it’s like
to intern with us

The most enjoyable part of my placement was participating in practical activities. It was also very helpful to learn about all the different programs that are used at the firm. I really enjoyed the team meetings and the opportunity to get to know individual team members.”
Lillian McCracken
2nd year student
I found my placement at Ulton gave me a broader view of firm accounting than the placements I completed at other Brisbane firms. Some of the concepts and skills I picked up were brand new to me, having not been covered in my uni studies. I learnt how an audit is performed, how to complete superannuation interim reports and I attended a strategy meeting, which I found very interesting.”
Bronte McLean
3rd year student
My placement helped me gain a big-picture understanding of the firm. I spent one-on-one time with partners and managers, which gave me valuable insight into where my career could take me. I worked across multiple service areas. The work was varied and interesting, and the learning opportunities were endless.”
Chris Napper
3rd year student
