BIO

When people say that they’d follow their accountant anywhere, they’re talking about Natalie. Genuine, honest, and charmingly open, she’d walk a mile in their shoes and enjoys a chat over a cuppa or a catch-up via online or phone, depending on their preference. Her easy-going, down-to-earth candour also means that you have a friend as much as you do an accountant in her, and that she deeply cares about where the numbers are leading and the right direction to take.

Natalie helps clients understand their numbers. In simple steps, she shows them how to get the most out of their software and to take a holistic view of their business, so they can set a direction and improve outcomes. Practical and hardworking, with a ‘what you see is what you get’ style, she dives into any challenge. Her client-focus has also shaped the way she sees her job – as much more than debits and credits – and she pushes herself to find ways to improve situations, not just solve them.

“I love sitting down with clients and talking things over. I can’t count the number of times that really important things have come out across a kitchen table or over a cuppa on the back veranda, that really helped me understand what was happening and be able to serve them better.”

Since joining us in 2000, Natalie’s skills and client-base have grown. She first started in the Fraser Coast offices as a Trainee Accountant, and in 2006 relocated to Gladstone, as our Assistant Manager. Under the guidance of the Ulton Partners, she became an integral member within the firm and an important advisor to many businesses in the region. Her Chartered Accountant qualifications were completed in 2008 and she has since specialised in helping the all-important business sector of the area. She returned to our Fraser Coast office in early 2020 and became a partner on the 1 August 2020
