Jason revels in quantifiable metrics, finding patterns and discovering hidden opportunities within complex number sets. He also believes that hard work gets results and he’s known for his dependability, authenticity and drive for precision. However, his most notable gift is the ability to transform static spreadsheets into dynamic pictures that help clients understand and futureproof their plans.
Having built a strong suit of analytical skills and software knowledge, he prides himself on developing solutions that improve and maximise the profitability within a client’s business. A Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), he helps clients get the most out of their software, and using a variety of business models, cleverly depicts a ‘whole of business’ view that helps them set direction and improve outcomes.
“The most rewarding thing about my work, is unearthing the (often hidden) key drivers of a client’s business and then converting them into outcomes that change their lives, in wonderful ways."
Having joined Ulton in 1995 as an undergraduate, Jason qualified in 1999 as a Chartered Accountant and left to work in London (2001-2003). Armed with his newly acquired experience in international finance, Jason returned in 2004, to add his formidable skills in Financial Modelling, Financial Performance Monitoring, Integrated Reporting and Systems Development to our service offering. He became a Partner in 2008 and often works as an external CFO, writing meaningful reports for boards, business cases and grant applications, as well as analysing industry benchmarks.
