For small and family businesses in Queensland, the impact of extreme weather events can be devastating. If your business has been affected by ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred or flooding in Western Queensland, there is financial support available to help you recover and rebuild.
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred Disaster Recovery Grants
Disaster recovery grants of up to $25,000 are now available to eligible small and family businesses in 16 local government areas. These grants can assist with essential recovery costs such as:
✔ Debris removal
✔ Replacing damaged equipment
✔ Building repairs
✔ Safety inspections
✔ Restocking and replanting
For rural landholders or lessees of at least 10 hectares who sustained direct damage but do not qualify for other Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) primary producer assistance, grants of up to $10,000 are also available.
