Disaster Assistance Recovery Grants - Business Related

Extraordinary Disaster Assistance Recovery Grants are currently available to assist directly impacted small businesses, primary producers and non-profits with the costs of clean-up and reinstatement.

Grants of up to $75,000 are available for affected producers following South East Queensland Rainfall and Flooding to hire or purchase equipment and materials, clean up, remove debris, replace fencing and other costs associated with the recovery process. Producers should take photographs of the direct damage to accompany their application.

Applicants need to show they are an eligible primary producer, within the declared disaster area and demonstrate they have suffered direct impact from the disaster.

Assistance Grants - Individuals and Families

With the recent unfortunate disasters, the Government are providing assistance for the communities that have been affected.

The list below is of the grants that are available for eligible individuals.

Emergency Hardship Assistance Grant - If you have been directly impacted by the disaster and are unable to meet your immediate essential needs for food, clothing, medical supplies or temporary accommodation, you may be eligible for this grant.

Essential Household Contents Grant - If you are uninsured, or unable to claim insurance, you might be eligible for financial assistance to provide a contribution towards replacing or repairing essential household contents, such as beds, linen and white goods, that have been lost or damaged in a disaster.

Structural Assistance Grant - If you are uninsured, or unable to claim insurance, you may be eligible for a one-off payment as a contribution towards repairs to your home to make it secure and safe.

Essential services Safety and Reconnection Grant - If you are uninsured, or unable to claim insurance, you may be eligible for a grant to help you reconnect essential services that were damaged by a disaster. Contact your local emergency relief provider or counselling service or call the Community Recovery hotline on 1800 173 349 if you are experiencing emotional stress or personal financial hardship from this event.
