Self Managed Superannuation

Ulton’s superannuation service administers approximately two hundred Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs) and several Employer Sponsored Superannuation Funds.  A variety of Ulton’s teams are involved with the management of these funds, including Business Services (responsible for the general administration of these funds), Audit, and Ulton Financial Planning (on behalf of Professional Investment Services, responsible for the development of investment strategies, eligible termination payments, pension allocation, etc).

Ulton is able to provide up to date investment reports for investors' Self Managed Superannuation Funds, Family Trusts or large individually owned portfolios. The service provides:

• security watch lists;

SMSF Trustee Education Program

Released by the Joint Accounting Bodies the Self Managed Superannuation Fund Trustee Education Program is a free process for members and trustees of self-managed superannuation funds. It aims to educate trustees of SMSFs of the details of the Australian Taxation Offices's Trustee Declaration form. The program addresses the key messages, key terms, legal jargona and presensts possible scenarios that trustees may encounter.

The program outlines to trustees:

• their roles and responsibilites within a SMSF
• the investment restrictions imposed on trustees of a SMSF
• the rules and limitiations surrounding contributions and benefit payments within a SMSF
• the administration involved with a SMSF

There is a small quiz at the conclusion of the program and a certificate of attainment. A registration process needs to be completed to enter the program.
