Citrus

Ulton has had a long and proud history of servicing citrus growers in Queensland. In fact we are now dealing with the third generation of some citrus families, where we have had well over 50 years of continuous service and have seen huge changes to the citrus industry in the region.

From the first box of Navels sent from Gayndah by bullock dray to Maryborough and then to Brisbane in the 1870s, to the big expansion into Mandarins by growers of the 1940s, the expansion into Imperials in the 1960s and commercialisation into very large farming operations of the 1990s, Ulton has been a part of at least two of these expansions.

The Financial Modelling work that we do allows orchardists traditionally involved in running their orchard to understand how their business generates profit and how changes to some key measures impacts on the bottom line. This financial understanding is the key to building a profitable business and long term wealth.

We have supported our clients with Orchard purchases and sales, and with obtaining bank finance through to generating cash flow for the next season. We have assisted clients with accumulating off farm assets and building large superannuation fund balances. We are very proud of our work in advising and guiding generations of families through the complex succession issues associated with farming families.
