We take corporate citizenship seriously and are proud to have raised $7150 for the AEIOU Foundation at our 12th annual race day at the Bundaberg Race Club.

Category C Assistance - Approved and Activated Feb 5, 2013


Category C has now been approved. Clean-up and recovery grants of up to $25,000 are now available for small businesses, primary producers and not-for-profit organisations in areas severely affected by flooding in Queensland.

Telstra Assistance (existing customers) Feb 5, 2013

Short Term / until Network Damage is Repaired

The below offers are applicable until network damage in the area due to the natural disaster is repaired, or while customers remain evacuated, for a maximum period of 3 months from the date of the natural disaster.

Telstra's relief packages are determined by the nature and scale of the specific event and can include:

  • Free call diversion from an affected Telstra fixed phone service to another Australian fixed or mobile service of the customer's choice, regardless of the carrier
  • Customers who use the free call diversion service to divert their affected Telstra fixed phone service to their Telstra mobile service, can also make local and STD calls from that mobile service at fixed line rates, in accordance with their selected HomeLine or BusinessLine plan (limited to one designated Telstra mobile diversion per affected Telstra fixed phone account)
  • Affected Telstra mobile customers who do not have a Telstra home phone can receive a one off credit to the value of $100.00 inc. GST (limited to one mobile phone per Telstra mobile account) – this includes Telstra pre-paid mobile customers.

Deferral of ATO lodgement and payment due dates Feb 5, 2013

If you have been affected by the recent natural disasters, don't worry about taxation matters at this time. The ATO are implementing a range of support strategies to help, including:

  • the deferral of lodgment and payment due dates
  • contacting registered tax agents and BAS agents to determine what assistance you need
  • limiting correspondence to people who live in the affected areas.
The ATO have automatically deferred the lodgment and payment dates (excluding large pay as you go withholders) for activity statements to 29 April 2013 for people in the affected postcodes listed on the ATO website.

Freight Subsidies - Primary Producers (Category B) Feb 5, 2013

Freight subsidies of up to $5,000 per disaster event are available for eligible primary producers located within a disaster-declared area under joint Commonwealth/State Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA), or where a primary producer has a current Individual Disaster Stricken Property (IDSP) declaration.
